Meet Marlene Katafias

Livonia has always been home to me. I graduated from Bentley High School before raising my own family in this community. I’ve seen firsthand how Livonia fosters strong families and thriving businesses, and it’s this strong sense of community that drives me to serve. I’m committed to ensuring that Livonia remains a place where future generations can put down roots and grow together.

INTEGRITY

COMMUNITY

DEPENDABILITY

With over 25 years in the title industry, I’ve worked closely with builders, real estate agents, and community leaders—learning the value of teamwork, problem-solving, and staying calm under pressure. My guiding principle has always been that any issue can be resolved with resourcefulness, and I bring that same practical, solutions-focused mindset to City Council.

Since 2016, I’ve worked with the Livonia Historical Society to research the history of Livonia Public Schools and Bentley High School, and more recently, I’ve contributed research for the city’s 75th anniversary celebrations.

When I learned of the upcoming council seat opening, I knew it was time to step up as a leader ready to make a difference.
